We would like to urge people of Moyross and surrounding areas to vote only the independent people at the elections and not those of the parties, these parties will be the reason for the cutbacks and water rates which could hit us in 2015, they have been elected in the past five years, and nothing good has come from it. Those in the west side of Limerick should vote for the community activist, Cathal Mc Carthy who has dedicated a huge amount of time into making the community and the people in the area to understand the regeneration and that they have the ability to stand up for their rights.
General Issues and Responses

The Moyross Residents Alliance would like to thank Rob Ryan formally of "Mid West Waste Disposal" who is still waiting for work from the regeneration as his truck has now been idle for over three years hoping he would get a bit of work from the Regeneration. The MRA is still waiting for the wall to be built at the side of the Delmege Park Community Garden, while also Sandra Bennetts wall at the back of their house is also waiting to be built, they have at the moment a eyesore of an fence which does not offer the security a wall would. Further news on development in Moyross has shown that the new road will not be going ahead as Minister Varadkar has stated that is was not an important enough issue, that the 15 million Euro to proceed with it, is no longer there to do it. Due to a meeting with the Limerick City Councils and the Moyross Residents Alliance, it has been understood that the land the road will sit on has been purchased for 1.5 million, why the honor of God can they not see common sense and get this road constructed as it would be beneficial to everyone who lives here and those who live in the surrounding areas. The entrace to Saint Essens should be finished by the end of the year there is currently a hold up with issues with a couple of houses there, as officials said that there is an issue with them at the moment, there is alot of things in the implementation plan that is no longer going ahead, which tells us that the plan is no longer working, we are now left in Moyross with big gaps in the different estates of Moyross which is a complete disgrace, we are not blaming the Limerick City Council but the so called Ministers that are suppose to help us in Dublin, Why dosnt the Minister Varadka try living in the Regeneration areas and see then what we have to put up with in terms of anti social behaviour, shootings & stabbings still going on, a complete break down in law and order. This all tells people of the Regeneration Areas that they have been let down again. There is also contractors coming in from outside of Limerick and doing work which the locals should be doing, it is not happening, which has now been wrote into EU Legistlation that people from the disadvantaged areas are entitled to the work which is NOT happening.
Repairs to the Community Garden

The Moyross Residents Alliance has begun repairs on the community garden in Delmege Park, there was structural damages to the greenhouse, with many parts of the garden landscape ruined from the harsh winters that passed us. Upon investigating the damage we stumbled upon a sewer drain which was somewhat blocked, we have in the meantime fixed the issue with the drain, which caused many houses the last few months to have problems with the waste water in their houses backlogging. We are going to begin campaigning locals and co-ops in different areas to build and look after their respective areas, this would in turn save the council much money while also providing the local community people with jobs. Why in the honour of God cant the regeneration committee and Limerick City council listen to the people and form these groups and bring unemployment down.

Tom Daly, Chairperson of the Moyross residents Alliance was disgusted to see the way home-owners and tenants have been left after the storm, these people are left to fend for themselves after the damage was caused by the Limerick Regeneration and the Limerick City Council after they demolished houses and left home-owners and tenants wide open to the forces of nature. They also have done flawed work in patching up walls and leaving them in a dangerous state, they should have done all this work properly and this wouldn't have been an issue now, they need to get off their arse and start treating these people a bit of dignity, The damage in other parts of Moyross is colossal. We hope to God that the Limerick Regeneration Agency get these problems sorted out as we have a lot more issues to express.
Damage to the Community Garden in Delmege Park

Tommy Daly of the Moyross Residents Alliance said its a disgrace to see the damage done to Moyross with walls fallen down, fences fallen down and walls becoming unsafe which they were warned about years ago by the Moyross Residents Alliance that their work was flawed, Why in the honour of God did they not listen to us and do the work right in the first place. Now it must all be redone again costing the council more than it should, The Limerick Regeneration should be working with the local alliances, the people on the ground and in the communities and let us sort out our problems, we have people unemployed in Moyross who would love to do this work, Local CO-OPS should be set up in all areas to do this work afterall castle engineering are not doing a good job, why cant they reduce costs and let the communities do the work, Its definitely wrong and blantently ruins people lives. We now have a situation in the Community Garden in Delmege Park, where it is now wrecked, which the Moyross Residents Alliance solely built with the help of the locals in Moyross, we are showing the video of the damage to the Garden over the last few days, and images of damage to the surrounding residents walls, these walls and fences could have killed someone as they were slapped up by the council and by unexperienced people and it shows now in what happened "It's A disgrace, we will be putting in for some funding to help and repair the damage in the area and Community Garden in Delmege Park." said Chairperson of the Moyross Residents Alliance, Tom Daly.

Tommy Daly Chairperson of the Moyross Residents Alliance is sick of the Limerick Regeneration with their promises, hiring contractors which are doing flawed work which endangers our kids, we are sick of our kids being discriminated here in Delmege Park, we have included images of a girl who has fallen and obtained a nasty gash on the knee from the uneven pavement work, which was left by Airtricity contractors. We are also experiencing a huge flood outside our community garden, which has been accumulating the last six weeks due to high rainfall and this is because of the blocked drains which the cement has now settled inside, after the contractors completed their job, our kids have to walk around this pool of water which delays time which should not be an issue to begin with. We reported this to Micheal O' Kelly before Christmas and it was promised that this would be fixed and drains repaired as soon as it was possible, which was now 6 weeks ago, we call on them to get off their arses and sort out this problem before someone else gets hurt or in a worst case, infection from playing in the dirty water that is connected to the main drainage system of limerick. They would want to get off their backsides and get these issues sorted out immediately, this is a health hazard and our kids need to play in a safe environment, not a dirty swimming pool outside their doors, Tom Daly Chairperson of the Moyross Residents Alliance.

Eight your old girl gets a right gash on her leg after tripping on the footpath outside the St.Francis community garden, again bad workmanship done by contractors employed by Airtricity and Limerick Regeneration, "It's a disgrace" said Tom Daly, Chairperson of the MRA, "We now have a swimming pool thanks to the same company who done the work, the bad workmanship, the people of Delmege Park are sick of this, this degrading of our residents of Delmege, we have rights like any other people you can be sure it would not happen in Caherdavin or any other areas of Limerick. The Moyross residents alliance has photos of all these incidents that is happening, now I will say fair play to Micheal O'Kelly, he told us that he would have a new path put down and that he would get the drains cleared, in which the concrete went down into, blocking them up once the workers were finished, which is a disgrace, we want this problem sorted out immediately afterall these people thats doing this work should be concentrating on what they are doing and keeping health and safety in mind and also our enviroment. Tom Daly Chairperson of the Moyross Residents Alliance.
