The committee and the residents of Moyross would like to thank brother Sean on his visit to us and we wish him well on his adventure and what he is doing, He was a great asset to the people of Delmege and helped us countless time with the memorial garden, Thanks again.

The Moyross Residents Alliance would like to ask the people of Moyross and the Northside to support Willie O' Dea for the upcoming election, he has always supported our people through the tough time, and helped many charities alongside us to make peoples lives better, we have always worked closer to Willie O' Dea as he understands the struggles that we, the residents have gone through and the opportunities we have tried to create for the locals. Once again, we do hope you can show your support and vote Willie O' Dea as #1

health and safety with builders and the apartments in cliona park, Tommy daly chairperson of mra has be bombarded with calls with people reporting incidents and fearing for there safety , with kids especially. There is no one directing the trucks in or out , I myself had a close one up there last week which is absolute crazyness! There was a truck delievering shuttering from heatons and another truck backing in with a van in the middle of the road turning with no one to direct the trucks giving warning or preventing accidents.. Health and safety regulations have been blatantly ignored we thought this was behind us , We will be getting in touch with regeneration and other authories if this behaviour is not corrected. Tom

The committee has been very worried over Christmas about the human excrement that has been flowing onto the road, it has caused great concern amongst the residents of Delmege Park, We went down to Michael O' Kelly and were happy that he was able to get a Suction & Jetting, Environmental Unit out in less than three hours, we were very happy with the outcome with this and were thankful for the quick resolution, we do wish to ask why it was not sorted out when the residents phoned the environmental department three times. Another issue that had cropped up that we noticed shortly after was residents complaining about the sewerage links in their back garden now overflowing, We acted upon this ourselves, as the council this time did not respond, we purchased rods for well over 300 Euro and completed the task without there help. All in all we have kept Delmege Park in top shape and now the kids are able to play outside once again without getting sick.

2000 Euro worth of damage has occurred to Delmege Parks Memorial Garden in Moyross, As you can see from the images, we had brought brand new double glazed windows and then the storm got the better of us, its nearly next to impossible at times to keep the garden maintained financially, as such devastating events causes a huge loss on our funds which come out of our own pockets, but this Memorial Garden, stands for the four great lads who lost their lives needlessly a few years back and this is why we take so much pride in the garden even when things get tough, we keep it going for them.

We've come along way since we first started St. Francis Community Garden in 2009, which began on paper with a plan. The MRA turned a derelict site that was left after Regeneration demolished 3 perfectly good houses against the wishes of our community. We had asked the Council and Regeneration to open up the houses, we even supplied them with a list of 18 tenants within Moyross that wanted to relocate, but they went ahead and knocked them. It was a very demoralising time and a sin to behold, but as the saying goes..."it's better to light a candle than curse the darkness"...and that just what we did.

A special thank you to Brendy Daly for all the hard work he has done in the St. Francis Community Garden and also to the rest of the Moyross Residents Alliance for all the hard work that has been put in over the last two months. Another big thank you to all the companies who supplied us with the materials as we could not have done this without them. We are very disappointed with the Going For Gold competition as last year we were finalists and this year we seem to have been forgotten about, the community has placed much work into the garden and were hoping this year we could win, we feel we have been somewhat discriminated against and do hope that we are included again for next year. We would also like to congratulate the Moyross United team on their win tonight, keep up the great work and we look forward to hearing further great news.
