The Moyross Residence Alliance cannot believe the way we were portrayed on RTE last night by Doctor Eva Orsmond. Making allegations that parents are neglecting their children in Moyross, and branding us a ran down area. A few words for you Doctor Orsmond here in Moyross our youth are what keeps moyross progessing for the better , Some of the local idols of today came from the likes of Moyross, Kileely and Thomondgate so shame on you for putting such a degrading image of Moyross out there. Your words and tactics are far from motivational! Alot of others and I find them to be bully tactics. Going on international television and carrying on the way you did has disgraced your profession , I don't know who's worse RTE for promoting such a programme which has alot more to say about you than the people you tried to shame.
I have never seen someone to be so invading and intrusive to the questions that were asked your behaviour can never be taken back so you will have to live with that! On a more positive note I'd like to bring attention to the many charities that the local communities have helped throughout the years such as the youth centre who were donated 3,500 , Cancer Research and Special Olympics received 3,000 each , St. Vincent De Paul 1,000 , and St. Munchins Community Centre 1,000. We are people who believe in helping our own even if we don't have it ourselves does that sound like people from a ran down area? Every word you spoke and your colleagues in Dublin were fiction , You should really stay away from the statistics cause they have guided you and your team wrong!
Here we have the most activites for our children such as Homework Clubs , Breakfast Clubs, Movie nights , Summer Camps , Sports days you name it they have it , Theres some positivity for you ! These kids go to such things to socialise with their friends not because they don't get love and attention at home.
Also it was a lovely day for the Monks of Moyross 10th anniversary celebration in the Moyross church another monumental celebration that we were proud to be apart of , Thanks to the Monks for a lovely day and lending a great hand here in our community.

The MRA Committee and community enjoyed a great day with the monks even though the weather was against us ! Chairperson of MRA Tom Daly had a great chat with Bishop Donal Murray about the progression of the community and how far it has come with the help of everybody coming together, An extended special thanks to Donal for the memorable blessing he gave our beautiful garden here in Moyross.
A special thanks to The Sun newspaper and nick rabbits of The Leader for their coverage of the event it ment alot and also to Brendy Daly for really helping us sort out the issues with the manholes in the sores and always keeping our garden prim and proper to the highest standard, Lastly our fellow members of the MRA which include Deirdre, Dave , and Angela for all their hard work the past 10 years.. Thank you!
However the Moyross Residence Alliance were very dissapointed that the Moyross Community Centre didn't lend a helping hand in the upkeep of the area for this event even though it was promised, Again we pulled it out of the bag and managed on our own like we always have been used to.
All in all it was a fantastic day and fair play to the Monks of Moyross for working with the community of Moyross, and being so involved the past 10 years especially for creating the opportunity for the kids to enjoy a great summer camp 10 summers in a row long may it last!
On the 2nd of September we will be having a small get-together in the garden to welcome brother Sean and Fr. Paulous back to our lovely home for an overdue visit we look forward to seeing you all there!

The chairperson of the MRA , Tom Daly would like to thank the following people for the upkeep, effort and loyalty to our garden of rememberance here in Moyross , Jason Hamilton , Fr. Paulos , Br. Sean , Cathal McCarthy, Angela & Dave McNamara, Deirdre Murphy and the rest of his supportive family who were behind this project from day one! A special thanks to Jamie Daly who has given the community some remarkable events to reminisce on over the years (Stars in the Hood , The Limerick Toyshow, Monks vs. guards) !
Here we are 10 years on and still our garden is a credit to us all and gives us a little bit of joy each day when we visit this all started from the rough plan pictured a few years back which was drawn up by Tom Daly.
I'd also like to thank Lisa Daly for the artwork done in the garden over the years especially for our handprint murial on the wall of the garden which includes all the kids in the communities handprints this holds a special place in our hearts to have them involved.
And last but not least Rest in Peace to our local lads that tragically lost their lives, We hope that their families find peace in our garden and feel safe and at home these boys will never be forgotten.
We also would like to extend an invite to the residence to attend a gathering for the fransiscan friars on Friday the 18th of august as they will be celebrating 10 years here, All are welcome!
Thanks to everyone that made it happen , lent a hand , and donated were forever grateful!

On the 25th of june 2017 we had a day of celebration for the community in Delmege Park to celebrate the extension of the 1916 memoir and lost lives in Moyross , It was a great day for all with the committee coming together to celebrate all the work that has been done since day one of our garden being built and to mark the anniversary of the extension! We had a lovely visit from Fr. Bernadino who had the kindest words for us all and really made a great effort to mark the celebration in our garden on Sunday , which I am so thankful for a beautiful ceremony was carried out and an official blessing of our garden. We hope to have some more gatherings like this in the future , Its great to see everyone enjoying the garden and eachothers company, It really makes all the work we put in worthwhile!
A huge thank you to everyone involved and those who could make it on the day!

The Moyross residence alliance received feedback from residents shortly after the showing of the new short series "Assasins" .
As this came to our attention we sat and watched the documentary ourselves and appaled at the results to be found from viewing.
In a few short words the producers of this show have used peoples tragedies for ratings without the consent off anybody who lost loved ones, And had to live through these experiences. After a long few years of trying to establish Moyross as the good place it really is , And trying to show how much we've grown and accomplished as a community it's easy to realize that no matter how much amazing work is done the media will always try and take us two steps back. In our opion "Assasins" was a sad attempt to portray Moyross as a terrible love/hate spin off with no consideration for the fact that families sat at home and had to rewatch the worst moments of there lives being acted out without any type of consent for the entertainment of others. Here in Moyross the community love to be apart of REAL documentaries that show awareness and all sides , where you showcase the positives like The Limerick Toyshow , The Community Memorial Garden where their is a kids club held every Wednesday after school for our locals and is a safe place of prayer for our community. We were dissapointed to see that the people who seemed to have the answers to everything were the "fransiscan friars" of Moyross, Our neighbours speaking on behalf of the community when they were not present for the tough times that we had to pull through and put to bed , So to see someone speak with so much certainty on a subject that they have never been through first hand was disappointing to say the least , If we wanted to speak .. WE WOULD HAVE SPOKEN!
All in all it was a cheap stunt to slaunder Moyross once again however we will keep growing and coming together to better our community, the youth , and the growth of our home here in Moyross.

It's great to see the councilors have passed and started the progression of the new road project in Moyross. The first phase of the road to coonagh roundabout and knocklasheen has nothing got to do with parteen and the flooding that has been mentioned, They can go ahead with this project immediately as they have the land for same. Hopefully in time the new road project will develop from moyross throughout the dublin road , However our main focus is to end the biggest cul de sac in the city known as delmege park and moyross , To make facilities more accessible for the residents and not have the estates so isolated from carrying out their daily tasks.
Big congratulations to northside team Ballynanty Rovers on their win in The Lawson Cup Final!

Tommy Daly, chairperson of Moyross Residents' Alliance (MRA), would like to congratulate the Ballnanty Rovers on their epic win today , It was a great match that he was delighted to be apart of.
Special thanks to Thomas Daly Jnr , Jamie Daly , Gary Ryan , Declan Considine and all of the committee that goes great lengths to ensure the team perform at their best.
Ballynanty Rovers are a team who play for each other with their hearts, passion , and teamwork.

The team had great contenders today , Fair play to Nenagh Celtic for a great display of football skills!
